THE LARGS WAR MEMORIAL

The war memorial in my adopted home of Largs in North Ayrshire contains lists of the
local heroes who fell in the battles of both the First and Second World Wars.

This project, started in May 2007, seeks to go beyond the names inscribed on the memorial,
to tell the stories of those ordinary folk who were called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice
in Britain's darkest hours.

All contributions to this project are welcome. If you can provide any further information,
please contact Chris Paton at the e-mail address at the foot of this page.
